[Users] Getting strange char sequences in email

Hello,
A while ago I wrote about how I got sequences like this in my email:

I was asked to contact the debian email list and ask on there if there
was any processing or what-not going on.
I wrote them and the response was quite hind but, due to my
claws-mail, somewhat indecipherable to me.
The thread is not long and the subject is the same as this one.
I looked into preferences, then account preferences, and finally did:
grep 7 .claws-mail/*
I can't find anything that suggests that I set something wrong, but I
probably did since there are other people using CM without this problem.
Please help.
