By definition, no user request is invalid.

(1) Your note does not address the request for an indicator.

(2) The unwillingness to change the default as threaded does not address any of
the other points made, e.g. User configurable setting - could you please
address those points as well.

(3) Could you please point me towards a universally accepted definition for the
term 'respectable mua'.
