It is simply a matter of pinning packages from backports lower than
packages from stable.
Example:
cat /etc/apt/preferences
Package: *
Pin: release a=wheezy-backports
Pin-Priority: 200
Package: claws-mail
Pin: release a=wheezy-backports
Pin-Priority: 999
Run:
apt-get update
apt-get install claws-mail
Above means that only package claws-mail and packages from
wheezy-backports which claws-mail from wheezy-backports depends on will
be fetched from wheezy-backports.
