Am I on drugs, or is multithreading not the only way to do simultaneous
processes? I have a shellscript that allows me to type in info for the
next vinyl record, while this vinyl record plays and then converts
to .ogg and normalizes. All I did was exec a process.
I've seen enough of Claws' source code to know that nothing's trivial,
but it would seem to me a fairly easy thing to fork a process to get
email, so that you can read some email while downloading other email.
IIRC Apache works by forking processes too. I think Samba does also.
