Sorry if this has been discussed before.

When retrieving or sending mail, the whole application freezes and I have to
wait for the send/resieve to end before I can work on the rest of my emails.

This is especially painful, when I'm using an internet connection with an IP
address without a reverse DNS (the IP does not reverse to a domain), thus the
remote POP3/IMAP/SMTP server will take up to a minute before it allows the
connection to be established (because its reverse lookup will wait till it
times out).

I've been a user of claws-mail (and previously sylpheed-claws), and the
send/receive was always a thing that has carried over for years (decades? ok
maybe exagerating), but it seems nobody was interested to make it
multi-threaded.

I'd appreciate your comments on this issue.
