I'm seeing some unexpected behavior caused by this patch I think. 

I have Load images, and Open Links in external browser checked, but thats it. 

In two cases I get things opening in my external browser, simply by reading an
email: 

1. Spam that has bogus junk like: 

<img src='http://someip:80/somejunk' width=0 height=0>

2. RSSyl feeds that have things like: 

<!-- RSSyl text start -->
<!--www.youtube.com--><div class="video-container"><iframe width="600"
height="338" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/WDHch7bJp8c?showinfo=0"
frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></div>

I find it bad that they open in my external browser without my clicking on
anything. 
They did not used to have this result...
