[Users] build Claws or accept the Ubuntu version?

There is a stand-alone address book you can build, which is what I did on
Debian wheezy. After you launch it for the first time it will import your
address book information from Claws. I believe if there are updates to the
package you would have to re-build or apply them, I'm not sure there have
been any updates. 

It will require you to install an LDAP server and all the packages that go
with that, even if you don't use LDAP. After having used it a bit, I now
rarely use it.

However, you don't need to build Claws mail itself in order to use the
standalone address book. I use the Claws that is in the Debian repos,
currently v3.8.1 for Wheezy.
