Have you actually tried changing folderlist.xml like I suggested?

Your reasoning why you consider this to be a bug is ridiculous -
not every car comparison makes sense. Just because it seems important
to you ("I want to") doesn't mean it's important to everyone (while
steering to the left is something no motorist can avoid). I for one
never felt the need to change the order of my folders in any email
client ever in 20 years (I did feel the need to change the order of
my accounts before, which most email clients allow, I think for claws
I also had do edit a configuration file - but my memory might fail me
here). Everyone had different needs.

If this was my project I would just close that bug though - calling
feature requests bug reports and being demanding usually doesn't
mesh very well in open source projects.
