  AFAIK --enable-shared is not required, as plugins are .so only, and your
  prefix is probably wrong unless you really want plugins to be installed
  into «/usr/lib/claws-mail/lib/claws-mail/plugins» directory.

  Posting the build log may help to discover what's happening.
