  24s? Not really...

  That's 7 seconds to fetch.

  Or 9 if you count flags store in.

  Try disabling synchronise for offline use in the folder properties,
that's probably introducing delays.

  Hmm, that number seems wrong, I got >30s in a single message open but
it opened instantly.
