[Users] Claws Mail PPA - Debian

Some months back, I asked on the list, whether the Claws Mail PPA also
worked with Debian (as both Ubuntu and Debian use Debian's packaging
system.)

Has anyone since tried this on Debian to see if it does in fact, work?

When Debian 7 (Wheezy) is released, it looks like it will include
version 3.8.1, which still would not be the latest version of Claws.
