I think the first problem is that even though it doesn't make any sense
to receive contacts without attached email adresses for Claws Mail,
Google seems to lack a corresponding filter in its protocol and search
options. I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about that.

The second problem is that the upper limit of 1000 is arbitrary, and
not really necessary. Fortunately, that's easy to fix.

I agree. In fact, not being an active Google+ user, I wasn't even aware
Google+ contacts are included.
