[Users] How to write this plugin?

I must say that I like the idea... so I tried to see what could be done
with Claws today (version 3.8.0) to try to have that without going thru a
plugin...
First, I though about creating an Action, that could be associated with a
button. So I checked actions, and discovered that one of them was :
"Ignore thread"
But I can't find it in any menu, and I don't have any idea about what it
does... but the name sounds promising ;)

I also check what happens when you right-click on a message, and the menu
that appears contains :
Create filter rule
Create processing rule
Each of them can be created by Subject, From, To and "Automatically" by
selecting manually some criteria. Maybe that could be extended to have a :
Create filter rule > By Message-ID 

That would probably allow some steps in the direction of the TrollKiller
feature (that I'd use if available !) without going the plugin way...
