There are no 'Auth Failed' messages, but there are some '-ERR service
temporarily unavailable.' messages.

There's really no problem with setting it higher than 10 seconds, and it is
arguably better to set it higher. It's at least theoretically possible for a
server to take longer than 10 seconds to respond even today. And since
today's connections will be quicker, then nothing is lost under normal
operation in setting that value much higher. Anyway, this setting has nothing
to do with the message "-ERR service temporarily unavailable."
