(I want to support classical mail vs modern messengers, pls forgive it it is offtopic!) JFYI and because i think not anyone does know this ... i just found out rather accidently that on a linux desktop, Ctrl + '.' opens an emoticon chooser :D It seems to be a GTK feature.
