Paul, thank you for the instruction on how to do this, I was surprised I didn't think of that, and the WIKI orFAQ didn't suggest it. The old MH messages were on an old drive (one which was clobbered in 2014 with ransomware then recovered) and from looking at the raw dates and message content it isn't clear if they were merged in to the recovered files already in the folders. I plan to merge them and then run the find duplicate messages tool and then archive the older ones.
Which was my second question about the Archive plugin. Can the archives be reopened, or does one have to unzip them and follow your above suggestion to see them again?
