[Users] marking messages in new window as read

I have noticed that if I'm using the "message view" and I use hotkeys
to move to next/previous messages, then those messages are marked as
read.

However I prefer to read messages by opening them in a new window. When
I use hotkeys to move to next/previous messages in the new window, they
are not marked read. Is there a claws-mail option that I might have
missed which controls this behavior? If possible, I'd like messages to
be marked as read automatically when I read them in a new window.
