With regard to "restoring plugins" the clawsrc file only lists the
paths to plugins you've chosen to load inside Claws Mail. It has been
suggested to you to open menu "Configuration > Plugins..." and "Load"
plugins there. That would have _restored_ them as well, provided they
are compatible and can be loaded without errors.

Now, when you say you've restored plugins by taking an old clawsrc file,
that tells you've not visited the menu to load any plugins.

And with regard to email accounts and credentials, there are other *rc
files in ~/.claws-mail/
