And I repeat the answer. Install the ones you want using your package
manager, then in Claws Mail go to /Configuration/Plugins, click the 'Load'
button, then select the plugins you want to load and click OK, as is
documented.

And I repeat that there are no plugins listed there. My question is about how I can get Claws Mail to list plugins so that I can select the ones I want.

I'm not surprised Claws Mail, using GTK3, does not list any plugins since the there are no entries beneath "[Plugins_GTK3]". What I see, however, at the top of the file is:[Plugins_GTK2]
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins//usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins/
I do, however, see a full list of plugins in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/claws-mail/plugins/. I did edit the file to see what happened if I removed the second occurrence of the directory name, but I got the same result.

Some suggestion of how to bring up a list of plugins so that I could select the ones I use would be very useful,
John
