You don't need to create new accounts.  Just create aliases on
your email server under one account.  Then filter each alias to a
folder created under your Inbox, all on server side (this way you get
the same result no matter what client you use to get mail).

Then in Claws, in Inbox on the folder list, for each alias folder,
right mouse click, select Properties..., select Compose, check Default
From:, enter <Full Name> emailaddress (like Peter <peter at myisp.com>),
then select OK.

That is basically the equivalent of an identity.
