[Users] claws waits forever, freezes grafik on slower networks

hello claws experts,

i am (again) passing you some tech information on using claws from
within an ICE train of Deutsche Bahn using my smartphones
WiFi-Connection to the train net called WifiOnICE.

The nature of this net is that the connection varies dependent on the
network in the area the train in flying through and as well on the
other few hundert users I am sharing the network with.

It is very typical that e.g. browser windows take quite some time to
load in one moment, where they show a video without problem in the next.
It as well happens there is no network to the outside world at all for
even some minutes.

Heres what I am doing

- claws is invoked at 18:37 
  claws-mail --offline --debug 2>&1 |tee claws-4.3-log-250206-1837.log

- I then switch to "online" via File Menu

- click on "Get Mail"

  now after some time the 1st attached image is displayed, offering
  'close' or 'view log'

- click on 'view log'

  now the second attached image is displayed, but only the upper half
  content.

  after another five minutes the lower part gets printed 

in parallel the attached log file from clawss-mails output is written,
ending with the pop connection initation to the second account.

I am waiting another few minutes, now the app is frozen, and i
terminate it by ctrl-c.

Note that during this time I could browse the internet, slowly and
sometimes interrupted, but it worked.

I am aware that I could pass tons of other info or even create a
video,but I cant spend such effort at the moment.

i think i as well asked some general yet reasonable questions.
these are not answered or at least commented so far, wich makes me guess
there is no real interest to investigate the obviously (to me) flawed
decoupling of network IO and GUI.

that's ok, not my choice to make. good luck though !
