From my experience of moving files between Linux systems and computers, I've
notices that If you just copy the email files ~/.claws-mail and ~/Mail to
different physical disk, you need to mark all emails as read again. You need
to go to every folder and mark all as read. But when you have the same
partition like /home and don't modify it only mount on a different system you
don't need to do this. Maybe this is based on a timestamp of those files.
If I remember correctly I used rsync/scp to copy the files to different laptop
and maybe I didn't retain all the attributes.
