Thanks for the reply and suggestion.

Tried that one more time, got the same result:

"Could not calculate the upgrade 
An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade. "

And it restores the system with no upgrade.

Same result I've gotten several dozen times, with many changes on each
try. None of the MANY suggestions I got on the Ubuntu list worked
either. Seems to be quite a mystery...
