[Users] Hangs when attempting to use iCloud

Has anyone succeeded in using Claws with an iCloud account? I try to
connect but every time I actually try to receive mail, Claws seems to
hang. After this, killing and attempting to reboot causes Claws to
continue to hang before even opening its window. The only way I've
found to recover from this is to erase the account's entry from
~/.claws-mail/accountsrc.

Speaking of which, as an aside, is there a way to get Claws to use XDG
directories?
