Just for the subscribers, Raif and I did a little debugging offlist.

Raif had some success and some failure when increasing the socket I/O timeout.

I created a free trial account on mailbox.org and it worked perfectly for me.

There is a flaky connection somewhere, could be the server, could be Raif's
connection. You would imagine the latter, but who knows?

Raif, the only thing you can do within Claws Mail is increase the socket I/O
timeout still further.
