[Users] TLS handshake failed.

As I have described in earlier postings, I am configuring a new laptop.
I have now (thanks to help from this list) got a working instance of
claws-mail.

I started claws-mail and created an account.  That seemed to go OK.
I was then able to read email --- there were emails waiting in my
inbox on the posteo server for me to look at.

But when I tried to *send* a test email, to myself, an error arose.
Looking in the log file I found that the essence of the error was

> *** TLS handshake failed

I have no idea how to remedy this.  When I created my account, I
meticulously copied all of the specifications from the corresponding
account on my old laptop.  (I could, of course, have messed up in my
copying somewhere, but I've checked and checked ....

The account on the old laptop can send; the one on the new laptop
cannot. I am at a loss as to why.

Can anyone suggest what might be going wrong and how I might go about
fixing it?
