[Users] How to display selected message in main window?

Claws Mail version 4.2.0

My Claws Mail does not show the selected message
in the main window as it is shown here:

To read the message I need to double click
and wait for the separate message view to open.

I have the selected "Immer" in
Einstellungen /
  Anzeige /
    Gesamtansicht /
      Nachrichtenliste /
        Nachricht öffnen, wenn sie ausgewhält ist
