[Users] systray icons on Mageia linux Wayland

Hi,

I just switched from KDE/X11 to KDE/Wayland and now the CM systray
notification icons do not display.

--debug output contains:
socket.c:604:connect() failed: 111 (Connection refused)
notification_lcdproc.c:62:Could not connect to LCDd

A quick search for: 
    linux kde wayland "lcdd"
didn't help, nor did installing a few packages for LCD...

Anyone have clue how to resolve this?
