I tested in a chroot using copies of ~/.claws-mail and ~/Mail, but the
advance warning is appreciated nonetheless.
Sadly, the issue is reproducible with the provided patch applied. Test
folder contained 1510 messages, 1294 of them New.
I also tested the patched build with Breeze and Greybird themes as
provided by corresponding Debian packages using `GTK_THEME` environment
variable. The issue is reproducible with the alternate themes too.
Interestingly, the issue seems slightly harder to reproduce using the
Greybird theme. Using Greybird the average number of attempts (folder
entry using mouse) to get the expected (correct) result was 11.25 out
of 8 samples (number of attempts went to 50 in the 9th test without
getting the expected result). Whereas using other themes I would always
reach 20 attempts without getting the expected result. Don't know if
that's helpful, but I found it surprising.
