Hi,
the reason why I hate html emails is not because I fear viruses and such
nastiness on Linux, BSD or Apple, but because I am allergic to web
beacons, stupid fonts, such as Wingdings, that I don't want to install,
stupid formatting and remote content that I can't read off-line.
However, whilst it is indeed irrational to be afraid of an HTML email
attachment if you otherwise have no problem with HTML emails as long as
they are not attachments, statistically speaking, both intelligence and
general knowledge are decreasing. For many people, email with or without
attachments is a red rag anyway, they feel safest with WhatsApp and the
like, even if they are made aware that WhattsApp blatantly admits to
misusing the most intimate user data.
Regards,
Ralf
