I dont' know why I have some double copies of emails either. 

Fresh install of Ubuntu Mate 22.04 and Claws.

The emails in question were emails that I had stored in Eudora, that got imported into Thunderbird, and then imported into Claws mail. 

My mail is stored at:

/home/chris/CLAWS MAIL LOCAL MAIL FOLDER
