I'm not sure whether it was 2FA or whether it was something to do with
the Google Workspace setup for my account's organization. I have the
free workspace purely for purposes of handling the email under my own
domain name, and I feel like it was more likely related to the
organization. If I get a chance I'll take another look... but now that
it's working with OAUTH2, I'm not quite as motivated as I was before...
so may not be something I get around to soon.  :)
