Wrong. IMAP uses Port 143 (STARTTLS) or 993 (TLS).

SMTP uses 465 for TLS and 587 for STARTTLS.

I recommend using the TLS variants.

Also test 

m at ryz:~$ telnet imap.mailbox.org 993
Trying 2001:67c:2050:b100:1:143:0:199...
Connected to imap.mailbox.org.
Escape character is '^]'.

If that doesn't work, Claws also can't connect.
