Hi Marco,

This is "folding", a defined feature in RFC 5322. The header with a
CRLF is semantically equivalent to the header without the CRLF, but the
CRLF is added so lines stay within a maximum line width.

(Usenet messages are defined by RFC 5536, which in this aspect is no
different to RFC 5322.)
