[Users] [Bug 4664] New: OAUTH2 overwrites passwords even for plaintext logins

I was looking at this earlier, but was going to look again when I had more
time this evening. The patch looked good to me, I can see it's now been
updated in git. 

I vaguely remember there was another mailing list contact about something
similar where set and receive used different authentication methods.
