I'm quite happy with using different mailboxes / aliases for different
purposes. For example, mailing lists, server stuff goes to my info
mailbox. Anything to do with work or jobs to a work alias. Personal
stuff to my main "mail" mailbox. I also have an "archive" mailbox,
which I periodically send old emails to. I also have a couple of really
short domains, like b at bb1.uk (if I were you), for when I have to input
my address on a game controller, tv remote, scanner etc.

I went through the "inbox zero" methodology a few years ago (where
everything is sorted as you read it), but found that to be a lot of
work for no real gain.
