[Users] filtering appears not to work properly

Please, i am just curious, i will try to explain...

Consider IMAP, it is not broken (in your term), thus it properly
reports New, etc states.

But AFAIK this New state is only for first MUA, which see message. Thus
when i refresh mailbox first on eg. tablet (no CM) and then on PC (with
CM), the New flag is lost on PC, and thus CM's filters are not applied.

Am i right?

after i switch to IMAP, i use IMAP's sieve filters (not CM's), thus i
cannot try it itself, but sieve is not available on all IMAPs...
