Ah, it comes back to me now (although I might be mis-remembering some
details)....

Yes, I think so(1).  Some time back, master was switched to the GTK3
version rather than GTK2.  At that time, I moved from GTK3 to master.
Of course, that could explain the gitN difference.


(1) In the compile directory /.git/HEAD says I am, anyway.
