DM: Interesting. The reason I ask is because on my system this issue
only occurs for me if this setting is toggled OFF when I exit,
regardless of how it actually appears at that point if it would be
toggled ON. If/when you get a chance, I'd be interested in hearing the
results of the following test of Claws Mail (CM) on your system:

* 1. Start CM, toggle message view (MV) ON or confirm that it's toggled
  ON.
* 2. If the separator is not where you want it to be, manually move it
  to where you want it.
* 3. Leave MV toggled ON and exit CM.
* 4. Re-start CM. Questions: Is the separator still at the
'almost-exact' place that you put it in step 2? If you toggle MV OFF
and then ON again, is it still at the same place? Considering the
'creep' that you've reported, if you exit CM with MV toggled ON and
then re-start, is the separator still at the same place?

DM: No obligation or rush on this. I know that our experience of this
issue is different in at least one way, and think it would be
interesting to know if it is the same or different in relation to the
condition of the MV setting on CM's exit (or more accurately, the
condition of its related value in clawsrc at the next start). Thanks,
---Dustin
