Claws-4.1.0 for Windows actually shipped with an affected version of
Pango.  Can you try the build at
https://www.claws-mail.org/win32/test/dbg-4.1.0.zip ?  It's a rebuild of
4.1.0 with updated packages.

You can just unzip it and run claws-mail.exe directly from the
extracted folder.
