[Users] Emacs (Re: Keyboard shortcuts...)

The recent thread about keyboard sortcuts reminded me that I still have to
find a good way to use Emacs from claws.

I have tried to enable 'always start external editor' and set the editor to
'emacsclient -parent-id %w %s'. This works, when I compose a mail emacs
takes over the text part of the window, but unfortunately most of the emacs
special key codes are intercepted by claws or gtk so editing the emacs way
is not possible.

How can this be done?
