I am sorry, it sees, that i misunderstand you and IMO i can confirm,
that it was working with 3.18 version before, as i noticed this problem
only after i upgraded to 4.0.0 version.

I checked debian's package history, the 3.18.0 version migrated to
testing on 2021-09-10 and the 4.0.0 version on 2022-02-13, thus between
these two dates (+ max 1 day) i used the 3.18.0 version. As i mention,
i did not noticed any color problem before 4.0.0 version and because it
annoys me, i am sure that it did not happen before.

Will this enough for you?
