[Users] Access to the file was denied

I am in the habit of "opening" emails in html format (when this seems
to be called for) by right-clicking on the appropriate small rectangle
on the right hand side of the claws-mail window and then left clicking
on "Open". Note that when I hover the pointer over the small rectangle,
a display appears saying:

        Type: text/html
        Size: <some number>KB

Until this morning this procedure has worked perfectly, and displayed
the email message, formatted as one might wish, in a browser window.

This morning what happens is that a browser window opens with the
message:

> Access to the file was denied
>
> The file at /home/rolf/.claws-mail/mimetmp/00000022.mimetmp.html is
> not readable.
>
> It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be
> preventing access.

If I go to ~/.claws-mail/mimetmp I find the file 00000022.mimetmp.html
and see that its permissions are "-r-------- 1" (read only by user
only).

I can do a chmod on this file to make it readable and writeable by
everybody, but then when I try to "open" the relevant message in html
form I get the same phenomenon but with a different file in
~/.claws-mail/mimetmp referred to.

Any idea why this change in behaviour has occurred? I have not changed
any claws-mail settings. Is there anything I can do about it? Is there
any other information I need to provide? Screenshots? I am running
claws-mail version 4.0.0 under Ubuntu 22.04.1 (with a Mate 1.26.0
desktop).

Thanks.

cheers,

Rolf Turner
