[Users] Views keep getting changed on exit ?

I am using CM on Debian testing (XFCE), and it works.

But i have custom (system) logout script, which kills CM gracefully, as
i noticed, that it gets killed hard on logout, and thus do not save
settings change.

You can simple check if it is your case too, by doing some change, then
close CM explicitly by Quit and start again.
