[Users] Claws no longer opens hyperlink

I use the FlatPak version of Claws-Mail as well (with Mint 20.2) and
have the same Firefox problem described by Chris. Interestingly
when using Mint 19.0 and Flatpak I did **not** have the problem.
Clicking on links did open Claws-Mail. 

With Mint 19.0 I was and now with Mint 20.2 I am using the configuration
described below by Ralf. It worked before. It doesn't work now.

Unfortunately I think I am stuck with the FlatPak version and fear that
removing that and loading the "regular" version would lead to problems.

I don't know for certain that there would be conflicts by removing and
installing. But I am reluctant to take chances.

Just my opinion, of course.
