This thread works because there *is* an In-Reply-To header as well as a
References header for all messages after the original one (which
obviously can't have such headers). E.g. for you message:

Message-ID: <20210111083236.24978467 at localhost>
In-Reply-To: <20210111092601.7de2bc66 at noweto>
References: <20210108154622.22382003 at noweto>
 <20210111073615.5c63a055 at localhost>
 <20210111092601.7de2bc66 at noweto>
