[Users] Claws Mail package in Debian

I noticed the current (stable) version of Claws Mail in Debian is
3.17.3, but it also shows 3.17.8 in testing/unstable. When I used
Debian several years back, their main releases were every two years, at
the time.

Will 3.17.8 be moved over to the current Debian stable, once it goes
through proper testing?

I would like to try a second distro and thought the easiest way to do
it would be to install the ISO in a Gnome Box.
