1. Arc-RM-Cornflower is a theme that could be broken, since it's old
and was edited by myself.

I tested against the latest GTK3 versions of Adwaita and Breeze:

2. When using Breeze-Dark the folder tree font and colour issue
disappears.

3. When using Adwaita Claws suffers from the folder tree font and
colour issue, too.

4. When using Adwaita-dark the folder tree font and colour issue
disappears.

5. When using Breeze Claws suffers from the the folder tree font and
colour issue, too.

You might recognize a pattern.

Claws' GTK3 branch seems to be the only GTK3 app that is faulty when
using light GTK3 themes, at least non of the GTK3 apps I'm usually
running suffers from this issue.
