An alternate method, which won't solve this problem

1. A separate folder for this company / addressee
2. Filter incoming mail to this folder
3. Choose to save your sent mail in that folder rather than in the
general sent folder
Folder > Properties > Compose > Save copy of outgoing message to this
folder instead of sent
