DM: Okay, I'm back. :) In the process of starting to file a feature
request the 'auto-duplicate-finder' helped me find a really old bug
(from 2003) (ID: 318) (link:

that is similar, with the status of 'RESOLVED / WONTFIX'. Looks like the
only reason it was closed was because it was inactive for almost three
years.

DM: Related questions for developers:

* 1. Is is still worth me filing a feature request? (My opinion is that
  it is. :) )

* 2. If so, should I file it as a new request or just re-open (edit?)
  #318 and leave a comment about what I'm interested in that might be a
  bit different? (I'm currently looking for something a bit simpler
  than the original reporter, but I can see where it could be useful
  for my suggested enhancement to be developed in such a way that would
  allow for it to be expanded with more features [eg. a status bar
  that reports a variety of info].)

DM: Since it's not an exact duplicate and since it's so old, not sure
